Easter is almost here. Many thoughts are going thru my mind. First is just how much God loves us and the price He was willing to pay to bring us back into a relationship with Him. How many of us would be willing to sacrifice a child to save someone else? And then there is Jesus himself who was willing to come and live as one of us, suffer more than any of us would be able to handle, and willingly went to the cross that we might be saved; and more than that we were His enemies and yet He still went. While we were wallowing in our sins, He set us free thru His death and resurrection. That is love that surpasses understanding but is real!
The First UMC of Gulfport is serving a Passover-like meal tonight to represent the last meal Jesus had with His disciples. Then on Friday, we will have a Good Friday service at 5 PM. Then we will celebrate Easter with a sunrise service at 7 AM at Gulfport Beach followed by our regular church service at 10:30 AM. All our welcome to come and join any of these services, or all of them.
i wish each of you a Blessed Easter!
